Ordering & payment
How do I place an order?
Browse the shop, add plants to your cart, and check out via our Stripe-hosted checkout. We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay where available.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payment is processed by Stripe, an industry-standard PCI-compliant payment processor. Heartleaf never sees or stores your card details.
Do you offer gift cards?
Not at this time. If you'd like to gift a plant, you can order to the recipient's address and add a note to the order confirmation reply, and we'll include a handwritten card.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you reach out within an hour or two of placing the order, almost always yes. Once the order has shipped (typically 1–2 business days), we can't change it — but our returns & guarantee policy still has you covered.
Shipping
Where do you ship?
All 48 contiguous U.S. states. We don't currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, or internationally. See the full shipping policy.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship within 1–2 business days, then typically arrive in 2–4 business days. You'll get tracking by email the moment your order leaves the studio.
How much does shipping cost?
Free local delivery within King & Snohomish counties (Seattle, Bellevue, Bothell, Edmonds, Everett, etc.) — any order, no minimum. Outside that, shipping is calculated by destination ZIP at checkout: $9.50 elsewhere in WA/OR, $12.90 to West Coast and Mountain states, $16.90 across the central U.S., and $21.90 to the East Coast / Southeast. What if it's freezing where I am?
In cold months we include a 72-hour heat pack at no extra charge. If your local forecast looks risky, we may place a brief weather hold and email you to coordinate a safer ship date.
Plants & care
What size are your plants?
Pot sizes are listed in inches on each product (e.g. 4", 6", 8"). The actual plant height varies by species — a 4″ Snake Plant might be 8″ tall while a 4″ pothos can trail much longer. The product photo shows representative size for each listing.
Are your plants pet-safe?
Some are, some aren't. Filter the shop by Pet-safe to see only plants that are non-toxic to cats and dogs (per ASPCA). Plants without the pet-safe tag (Alocasia, Philodendron, Monstera, Pothos, Sansevieria, etc.) can cause irritation or worse if eaten — please keep them out of reach if you have curious pets.
How do I care for my plant?

Do plants come potted in the ceramic planter shown?
By default, plants ship in a plastic nursery pot. On products where a matching ceramic planter is available, you can add it as an upgrade in the modal for an extra fee — and we'll ship the plant pre-potted inside the ceramic.
My plant doesn't look great after shipping — what do I do?
A little travel stress is normal. Give it a few days in a stable spot with bright indirect light and water it lightly if the soil is dry. If you see real damage (broken stems, mush, frostbite, dramatic leaf loss), photograph it within 48 hours of delivery and email us — we cover that under our 30-day living guarantee.
Studio & services
Can I visit the studio in person?
We're a small operation — visits are by appointment only. Email us to schedule a time if you'd like to pick something out in person or talk through a project.
Do you offer plant installation or care services?
Yes — we install and care for plants in homes, studios, and offices around Seattle and the Puget Sound. See our services for installation, monthly care, seasonal rotation, and hospitality work, and request a quote there.
Do you take wholesale or bulk orders?
For offices, hotels, restaurants, or events — yes. Email hello@heartleafplants.com with what you're looking for and we'll get back to you with options and pricing.
